Fatima Noorullah Qamar, B.A (Honours), J.D., is an associate at the Deer Lake Law Group. She is a civil litigator with extensive trial experience, assisting clients at multiple levels of court including Small Claims Court, Superior (Supreme), Appellate (Appeals) Court and various provincial tribunals. She has handled a wide variety of legal issues including commercial and contractual disputes, Mareva Injunctions, Negligence actions, fraud litigation, collections, breach of fiduciary duty and wrongful dismissal litigation.

Aside from her extensive litigation experience, Fatima regularly assists individuals, business owners and large corporations in providing strategic legal advice on a wide range of corporate commercial issues including – contract drafting and negotiations, incorporation, commercial transactions, and wills and estates. She prides herself on being able to quickly identify the unique needs of her clients. She draws on her extensive experience and expertise to create the best arrangement for their interests.

Fatima graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto in Socio-Legal Studies and Criminology and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. During this time, she spent extensive time volunteering with Community Legal Aid where she advocated for clients in Small Claims Court and the Landlord Tenant Board.

While at the University of Windsor, Fatima discovered her passion for litigation and community outreach, and her efforts received significant recognition. She received both the J.W. Whiteside Award and the Equity & Diversity Award, in acknowledgment for her extensive work in the community and her commitment to equity and diversity.

Prior to joining Deer Lake Law Group, she articled and practiced as an associate with a prominent full-service law firm in Ontario focusing on civil litigation, corporate commercial matters and transportation litigation.
