Isabella Wang

Isabella Wang, B.A., LL.B., LL.M. is an Associate Lawyer at the Deer Lake Law Group.

Isabella graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017 with a Master of Laws, and in 2021, completed the Legal Practice Program at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China.

Whether clients are at the start-up phase of their new enterprise or are experienced owner-operators, Isabella is ready to advise and assist with company structure (Sole-proprietor/ Partnership / Incorporation), Name Registration, drafting and reviewing Shareholder Agreements, Lease Agreements, Contracts of Purchase and Sale, and more. Isabella also handles legal disputes involving business partners and other corporate entities. She is ready to represent clients aggressively in both the Provincial Court of BC and the Supreme Court of BC for any Civil Litigation matter.

Isabella is eager to share her knowledge and business acumen with a diverse clientele which includes Investors (Shareholders), Private Lenders, International Brokers / Traders, Commodity Dealers, Art Dealers, Auctioneers, and other corporate clients. She is especially passionate about ensuring that newcomers to Canada receive factual legal advice, particularly when laws pertaining to Business Operations and Property Ownership vary greatly between jurisdictions.

In addition to Corporate and Commercial matters, Isabella is experienced at preparing Pre-Nuptial/ Cohabitation/ Pre-Marital Agreements, Separation Agreements, and Surrogacy Agreements, and handling Estate matters including Trusts, Cross-Border Estates, and Family Business Succession.

Prior to joining the Deer Lake Law Group, Isabella worked at several boutique law offices in both British Columbia and Ontario, gaining experience in Family Litigation, Criminal Matters, Estate Planning, Corporate & Commercial and General Civil Litigation.

Isabella is a native speaker of Mandarin with some proficiency in Cantonese.
