Tim Affoo, B.A, M.A, J.D., is a litigator practicing exclusively in family law and civil litigation. Tim has assisted countless clients in all areas of family law from high value property disputes, corporate and business interests and high conflict parenting and support arrangements.
Tim holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Guelph and obtained his law degree from the University of Windsor. Prior to practicing, he completed his articles at Canada’s largest management-side Labour and Employment Law firm. While attending law school, Tim spent three years advocating for clients at a Community Legal Aid clinic in Windsor, Ontario. As a summer intern, Tim was part of the in-house legal team for a large Canadian crown corporation and from this experience, Tim developed a keen understanding of high value commercial negotiation and dispute resolution.
Upon being called to the Bar in Ontario, Tim worked as an associate lawyer at a full-service law firm in Ontario. Tim’s clients benefit from his strategic and cost-effective legal advice, zealous advocacy and commercial based negotiation style that has allowed him to find creative resolutions to some of the most high-conflict separations. He draws on his extensive knowledge of the legal system, family law principles and wealth of experience to identify an effective approach to any conflict with a focus on a beneficial outcome and minimal expense.
