Timothy Affoo, B.A, M.A, J.D is a litigator with a core expertise in Employment Law and Civil litigation. With extensive experience, Tim has advocated for clients in various forums from Provincial tribunals to the Court of Appeal.
Upon being called to the Bar in Ontario, Tim worked as an associate lawyer at a full-service law firm in Ontario, practicing Labour and Employment Law, representing and advising business owners and company managers with respect to wrongful dismissal litigation, employee policy development, occupational health and safety compliance, human rights, and general human resources advice. Additionally, Tim assists clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, such as fraud litigation, commercial and consumer disputes, negligence actions and regulatory compliance.
Tim holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Guelph, in Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy. Tim obtained his law degree from the University of Windsor and completed his articles at Canada’s largest management-side Labour and Employment Law firm. While attending law school, Tim spent three years advocating for clients at a Community Legal Aid clinic in Windsor, Ontario. As a summer intern, Tim was part of the in-house legal team for a large Canadian crown corporation and from this experience, Tim developed a keen interest in regulatory compliance and commercial litigation.
